To evoke a sense of beauty and peace , I use a casual stroke and imagine how subjects from nature may feel. When I paint I may say to myself, “I am the energy of a blade of grass.” My hope is that this process will provide a rest for your eyes and a breath for your nervous system, as I experience when I create and release thinking- mind and duties of the day. Nature’s generosity provides an array of beauty in its materials such as earth pigment, water, shapes, colors and sounds which effortlessly allow me to return the gift on paper.
